I am the Owner and Primary instructor for Practical Defense. I have instructor certifications from Military, Police and the Private sector most recently having been certified by the United States Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) and MN BC. I am retired Law Enforcement Officer having served for 25 years with the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) in Minneapolis, MN. During my time with HCSO, I worked in various Divisions, including Jail, Court Security, and 17 years in the Patrol Division. In addition to my Law enforcement experience, I served in the Minnesota and Wisconsin Army National Guard.

Practical Defense offers Basic Firearms Training, Home Security Training and Minnesota Multi-State and Florida Carry Classes. Some Classes Offered are USCCA Certified.
